The Econo-Lift® residential dumbwaiter incorporates the most advanced controller on the market. This residential dumbwaiter controller can be mounted at the top or bottom of the shaft, or remotely located. The controller runs a very dependable 230 Volt 3 phase commercial grade electric motor / gearbox that incorporates a disc brake with a manual brake release (the heart of the system). The dumbwaiter controller converts the 115 volt power supply into 230 volt 3 phase for the elevator grade motor (from Germany not China).

The VFD drive (variable frequency drive) device gives full motor control and protection and includes soft start and soft stop. This type of motor / gearbox and controller are only found on high quality commercial grade units designed for 100’s of trips a day. Compare these controls, motors and mode of transportation to the competition, and you will see there is no competition! It is all about long term reliability and ease of maintenance.

Hello Melanie & Patrick, The purpose of this communication is to provide Elevation Innovation Inc. (EII) feedback on a dumbwaiter we purchased in (Econo-Lift, two-stop, 150lb, 24” x 24” x 30”).  We wanted to wait until we operated the dumbwaiter for six months or so before sending this to you/EII. The dumbwaiter was not fully installed until May 12, .  It passed final county inspection on May 15th, .  The installer was Area Access Inc. whom EII referred us to. Because of space limitations, our new porch design required a spiral staircase up to the second floor crow’s nest. Carrying food and drinks up these stairs would be an ongoing problem. A dumbwaiter was the logical answer but which one? I surveyed available electric and manual dumbwaiters looking at cost, installation flexibility, durability, appearance, customization and safety. We love our dumbwaiter from Elevation Innovation. It makes having a reversed floorplan so easy. We simply pull the car into the garage and unload the groceries and the food is directly into the kitchen. It is easier than having a single level home.
