The 1' and 1-1/2' deep products are produced with a 1-1/2' square mesh while the 2' deep products are produced with a 2' square mesh. The square pattern of the panels provides bi-directional strength and facilitates easy layout and fabrication.

Economical resin choices include Corvex polyester, high-performance Vi-Corr vinyl ester, and several application-specific resins. All products come with either the standard concave meniscus surface or an optional grit surface (available in coarse or fine).

Molded Grating Resin Systems

Molded Fiberglass Trench and Drain Grates from National Grating are offered in two standard resin systems, each providing varying levels of corrosion protection while meeting Class 1 Flame Spread Rating per ASTM E-84 testing standards.

Polyester: A high-grade isophthalic polyester resin system, offering excellent corrosion protection. Standard colors are Dark Gray, Light Gray, Yellow, and Green. Equivalent to Fiberglass Grating Competitor Brand and Strongwell Duragrate PP.

Vinyl Ester: A chemically resistant system that provides the highest level of corrosion protection. Standard colors are Yellow, Dark Gray, and Orange. Equivalent to Fiberglass Grating Vinyl Ester and Strongwell Duragrate VE.

Common Panel Sizes

Standard sheet sizes for FRP grating include sizes 4'x8', 4'x12', and 3'x10'. Common thicknesses are 1', 1.5', and 2'.
